What To Expect - Enlighten Infant Home Care

Home phototherapy involves several coordinated steps to ensure the best care for your infant. Once Enlighten Infant Home Care receives the order from your provider the process begins.

● First, you'll receive a phone call from our office with an approximate time for the registered nurse's arrival.

● Before the nurse arrives, you'll receive a text message prompting you to sign online consent forms and upload insurance information. This is a necessary step for treatment.

● On the setup day, the nurse will arrive at your home, explain how to use the phototherapy equipment, and review what to expect during treatment.

● In the following days, the nurse will visit to take vital signs and a newborn assessment, check your infant's weight, and obtain bilirubin lab work.

● This lab work will be processed by the laboratory, and the results will be communicated to your pediatrician, who will provide further care instructions based on the results.
